ISM
Innercity Sports Ministries (ISM) is a sports ministry. ISM's purpose is to introduce and assist today's youth and their families in coming to know Jesus Christ. ISM strives to shape character and develop leadership through a variety of structured sports activities, sports-related field trips and Bible studies.
Our Mission
ISM's mission is to reach out in love to the youth of today in the fourth through twelfth grades by providing a safe, fun learning environment with opportunities that promote creativity, physical conditioning and self-empowerment. Through the transforming message of the gospel, ISM strives to instill good values such as respect and sportsmanship while stressing the importance of making proper choices and setting goals. ISM aims to assist our youth in becoming reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ and, consequently, improving their community and their world.

Activities
ISM offers sports programs to boys and girls in the fourth through the twelfth grades. The group meets weekly at various locations where the youth join for fellowship and activities that are rooted in the bond of sports and the message of Jesus Christ. Participants have the opportunity to earn the privilege of attending sports-related field trips.
History
ISM was founded in 1999 in Portland, Oregon. ISM was established on the foundation of Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things though Christ who strengthens me." Since its inception, ISM has worked closely with many churches, Christian organizations, Christian individuals and private and public organizations.
