Hello Dads,

While I made plenty of mistakes in raising children, I have fond memories and thank the Lord for the times I took one of our children with me, for breakfast or lunch, when meeting someone with whom to share Jesus.

My children would enjoy their food and spend time coloring or reading, but I have always believed it affected them in a very positive way to know their dad was telling people about Jesus.

The key point here for fathers is:

ãDads need to be sharing the Gospel with people. Your children need to be involved by praying and either going with you or hearing later what happened.ä

A good Bible verse for all of us to be doing evangelism, especially if it doesnât come easily, is what Paul told Timothy:

II Timothy 4:5 ã· do the work of an evangelist ·ä

With Easter coming, if outreach is not a normal part of your life, this is a perfect time to get started in sharing the Gospel with unbelievers and inviting them to church. Please use this time to pray with your children about what to do, and then be bold in reaching out with what the Lord shows you.

Your brother in Christ,
Al Wylie
