DAD'S NEWSLETTER

<Back>

August, 2003 (Friends)

Dear Dads,

A wise Christian grandfather recently shared something that he has learned is very important.

Please take heed and carry this out from when your children are young until they leave home, and even beyond that when appropriate.

Key point for dads:

Parents need to be very careful to make sure their children do not have wrong friends.

Important Bible verse:

I Corinthians 15:33 "Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character."

Be encouraged and be strong in the Lord to fight against the draw of the world all the days that you have influence in the lives of your children.

Be available and involved in their lives.

Pray for them everyday and maintain high standards.

(Editor's note: While this newsletter is written to fathers, it will hopefully also be helpful to mothers, to couples as they prepare for parenthood, to single young men as they prepare for marriage, to single young women to help them know what to look for in a husband, and finally to children as they mature and begin to understand the tremendous responsibility that God has placed on their father.)
