Real Joy Dear Dads, Fathers need to be teaching their children that true joy comes when they have their priorities in order. That would be putting Jesus first in their lives, putting other people second, and then putting themselves last. A good acronym here is: Jesus Key point: Dads need to teach their children that real joy comes when they put Jesus first, other people second, and themselves last. Important Bible verses: Mark 12:30 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." Galatians 5:13 "ยท.do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love." Have you ever noticed how people, who don't seem to have joy in their life, normally focus on themselves- not on knowing Jesus and helping other people? Please also consider that if your wife doesn't have joy in her life, it could be because you're putting yourself before her. |
