DAD'S NEWSLETTER
Hello Dads, There is something for which my wife and I are very thankful. When our children were still young, it was pointed out to us the importance of teaching them the Bible. It is a real blessing now, by God's grace, to see them as adults reading and applying God's Word on their own. It's great if our kids are also being taught by their mother, or at church, or in other Bible studies, but as much as possible, we dads should also be doing it. Key point for dads: GOD WANTS YOU TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN THE BIBLE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Important Bible verse: Deuteronomy 6:6-7 "And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up." There are many ways and opportunities to teach them with the length of time depending on each child's age, personality and attention span. If you have not been teaching your children yourself, please don't wait another day to start. There is not much else in life that is more important. Your brother in Christ, Al Wylie |
