DAD'S NEWSLETTER

<Back>

Hello Dads,

While I made plenty of mistakes in raising children, I have fond memories and thank the Lord for the times I would take one of our younger children with me, for breakfast or lunch, when meeting someone with whom to share Jesus.

The child would enjoy their food and spend time coloring or reading, but I have always believed it affected them in a very positive way to know their dad was telling people about Jesus.

The key point here for fathers is:

ãDads need to be sharing the Gospel with people, and our children need to be involved by praying and either coming with us or hearing later what happened.ä

A good Bible verse for all of us to be doing evangelism, especially if it doesnât come easily, is what Paul told Timothy:

II Timothy 4:5 ã· do the work of an evangelist ·ä

If outreach is not a normal part of your life, I want to encourage you to get started and involve your children as appropriate.

Your brother in Christ,

PS- Administratively speaking, until recently I had normally ask Pastor George Merriweather to review these newsletters. Future newsletters will normally just be reviewed by my own pastor, Doug Snow of Calvary Chapel Southeast.
